Curriculum Vitae

Darya Gerasimenko is a Professor for Sustainability Science at Samara (State Aerospace) University (SSAU), a Research Scientist in Green Economy at the Institute of Technology and Public Policy (ITPP) with Prof. Bruno Oberle (Chair for Green Economy and Resource Governance) at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), and a Lecturer in Economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). She is a graduate from the MILE programme 2008 (summa cum laude) at the World Trade Institute in Bern (WTI). She holds a PhD in Political Economy (of Industrial Policies and International Trade) from the University of St. Gallen (2015). Her research interests are policies for Circular Economy transformation in various institutional settings (with the focus on strong fossil fuels based industry-regimes like Russia and others), risk governance of sustainability transition, social innovations for Circular Economy, co-creation in sustainable living (social) labs and inner resilience. She is also an elected Council Member of the International Forum on Sustainable Value Chains (ISVC).
